RECRUITING AND RETENTION

  • Recruiting efforts focused on posting and partnering with local diverse community partners to ensure our workforce represents the diversity of our local communities.
  • Reser’s Cares program to connect our employees with the local community where we work and live, building relationships with numerous community-based organizations all drive by employees
  • Compensation is assessed regularly with outside consultants to maintain pay equity
  • Departing employees can participate in an exit interview process to help the company learn why the employee resigned to better improve internal culture to retain talented employees of diverse backgrounds.

EMPLOYEE EDUCATION

  • Employees complete a Diversity and Inclusion training annually through our Alchemy learning platform. The objectives of this training are to understand the meaning of diversity, recognize the importance of learning about others, and understanding how to act appropriately in the different types of relationships you may have at work with others.
  • All newly promoted or newly hired leaders participate in a classroom training session on inclusion through our Launch program to help them to better understand and recognize unconscious bias. Additionally, this session is focused on helping our leaders understand how to help create a culture of belonging.

TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES

With the goal of promoting from within to help our diverse workforce to advance to higher level roles, we offer several training opportunities including by not limited to:

  • Web based training certification for Maintenance employees
  • LME training for electrical licensing (at locations where supported)
  • Participation in boards or committees in the community
  • LEAD training program
  • LAUNCH training program for new leaders
  • GROW development program for Supervisors and above

SUPPLIER DIVERSITY

Beginning in 2021, our suppliers have been asked to complete a diversity self-certification to help determine where there are opportunities to further diversify our suppliers. The classifications suppliers can identify as include:
